Mentor Protege event2 4.4.14
Annise D. Parker, Mayor of Houston, and Daniel W. Krueger, Director of Houston Public Works and Engineering Department, recognized Chester Engineers for being an outstanding Partner in Mentoring.
Chester Engineers President and CEO, Robert O. Agbede, served as a panelist at the City of Houston Public Works and Engineering Department’s Mentor/Protégé Recognition Event, on March 27, 2014. The City of Houston Mentor/Protégé Program was established as part of the Interagency Mentor Protégé Program (IMPP) - a multi-agency effort that exists to strengthen and foster relationships between established companies and emerging historically underutilized businesses.

Possessing a deep appreciation for the unique skill sets minority firms can bring to a project team, and a first-hand understanding of the catalytic role that mentorship can play in the growth of smaller firms, Chester Engineers, Inc. (Chester) is a passionate supporter of the City of Houston’s program. Chester is proud to continue the practice of mentorship, working to technically strengthen and grow minority firms that work all across the Gulf Coast region.

At this year’s well-attended Recognition Event, hosted by the PWE Small Business Development Group (SBDG), Houston Mayor Annise D. Parker and Public Works and Engineering Director Daniel W. Krueger presented Chester Engineers with a certificate of appreciation for the outstanding work the firm has done in mentoring local Houston companies.
