LNG Shipping and Bunkering

To meet the growing global demand for LNG fuel, Chester LNG and partners are on the forefront of LNG marine transportation. Chester LNG is designing and developing LNG supply vessels that are much smaller than traditional ships, with capacities ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 cubic meters of LNG storage. Offering both storage and regasification, these cost-effective vessels provide exceptional value for customers seeking to reduce the cost of on-shore conversion of LNG to natural gas.

LNG Dispensing Stations

Chester dispensing stations can be strategically placed along roads and riverways to fuel trucks or shipping vessels, and can also transfer LNG to transportation vehicle fuel tanks and/or intermodal (IMO) tanks. Alternatively, the dispensing stations can convert LNG to natural gas, when used for non-transportation applications such as local power generation or a town gas supply. If desired, stations can be fitted to convert LNG to compressed natural gas (CNG). Coupled with the MMSTM LNG Plant, consumers can produce and distribute LNG conveniently from one location.

LNG Storage Tanks

Chester LNG offers newly designed, less expensive, small and medium-sized cryogenic tank systems suitable for lower volume LNG market areas. 5,000 or 10,000 gallon tanks are available and can be shipped via container ship or truck. On-site permanent tanks are available in sizes up to 250,000 gallons, and all tanks are designed for pressures up to 10 bar.

Boil-off gas can be compressed and used locally or reliquefied and returned to storage, depending upon the storage volume and time. However, due to our unique tank design, no boil-off requirements are typically needed if storage/transportation is less than 30 days.
